Infrastructure Field Technician Primary responsibility is to provide basic technical support for the client's IT infrastructure. Assists in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and software components, including desktops, printers, and network devices. Responsibilities also include responding to user requests, diagnosing issues, and escalating complex problems to higher-level technicians while onsite.
Infrastructure Project Engineer Level 1 Primarily supports senior engineers and project teams by assisting in tasks such as documentation, basic troubleshooting, and project implementation and works under close guidance and supervision of senior engineers or managers. Generally assigned to less complex projects and tasks that are well-defined and straightforward.
Infrastructure Project Engineer Level 2 Takes on more independent responsibilities in project planning, design, execution, and management. Has a high level of autonomy and decision-making capability while still working within project guidelines. Generally assigned to more complex projects that require deeper technical expertise and project management knowledge.
Infrastructure Project Engineer Level 3 Assumes a leadership role in engineering projects, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously. Handles highly complex and strategic projects that have a significant impact on the organization. Operates with a high level of autonomy and decision-making authority, often making critical project-related decisions. Often focuses on sharing knowledge, mentoring, and contributing to the organization's engineering strategies.
Infrastructure Infrastructure Practice Leader/Manager/VP Responsibilities include providing leadership and expertise on hardware, applications, operating systems, security, storage, networking, environmental elements, monitoring, resource management, service desk, and support functions.
Infrastructure Project Manager Responsibilities are to plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects. Leads and guides the work of technical staff and serves as a liaison between the client and technical staff on projects. Plans project stages and assesses business implications for each stage. Monitors progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
Infrastructure Project Coordinator Responsibilities include planning and coordinating project schedules, budgets, and administrative tasks to assist in maintaining project timelines. This role works cross-functionally to support project staff by facilitating project meetings, status reports, and documentation activities. Liaises with clients to identify and define their requirements, scope, and objectives and assign tasks to internal teams. Similar role as a project manger yet less experience.
Infrastructure InfoSec/SOC Analyst Responsibilities include monitoring IT network for security risks and investigate security incidents. Perform risk analysis and identify vulnerabilities. Updates and maintains security systems and performs regular security audits. Performs root cause analysis of security incidents.
Infrastructure Security Engineer Level 1 Responsible for identifying vulnerabilities and potential threats, conducting risk assessments, and developing and implementing security solutions to mitigate risks for clients. Also involved in incident response, security monitoring, and security policy development.
Infrastructure Security Engineer Level 2 Responsible for working collaboratively with the security teams to integrate cyber security best practices into the development and deployment process. Helps design, implement, and maintain security tools, processes, and policies to ensure the security of clients products and systems.
Infrastructure Security Engineer Level 3 Responsible for leading the security teams adoption of cyber security best practices into the development and deployment process. Leads design, implementation, and maintenance of security tools, processes, and policies to ensure the security of clients products and systems. Also involved in incident response, mentoring junior security engineers and handling more complex incidents.
Infrastructure IP/Telephony Specialist Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the IP/ Telephony devices and subsystems to include call managers and voice mail, ensuring adherence to established departmental procedures and standards. Assists in proactively identifying potential issues to ensure uninterrupted service.
Managed Services NOC Specialist Responsible for monitoring the stability of client and internal networks. Reacting to alerts and events according to documented processes, which will include actions such as contacting the customer, troubleshooting the issue, and/or escalating to higher level technicians.
Managed Services Service Desk Technician Level 1 The 1st technician responsible for the initial triage/handling of customer IT issues which typically entails basic troubleshooting. They will mostly escalate to a Level 2 if they can not resolve.
Managed Services Service Desk Technician Level 2 Handles majority of tickets escalated from Service Desk Level 1 that typically go beyond simple troubleshooting or require more privileged access to tools or infrastructure environments.
Managed Services Service Desk Technician Level 3 Responsible for troubleshooting complex IT issues that have been escalated from Level 1 and Level 2 support engineers that are not able to handle. Typically are engaging in solving less common, complex issues that require more specialized knowledge and skills to resolve.
Managed Services Service Desk Dispatcher/Service Desk Coordinator Responsible for intake and routing of service requests. This includes documenting client issues, asking for clarification when necessary, and assigning service tickets to the right level of resource.
Managed Services Network/Systems Engineer Level 1 Responsible for interacting with customers onsite or remotely, understanding their issues and creating tickets to track issue resolution. Routes tickets to the relevant L2 support. Has a basic knowledge of product/service and skill to troubleshoot basic networking/systems issues.
Managed Services Network/Systems Engineer Level 2 Configuration and management of on-prem network devices and cloud network/security services, maintaining networks for high availability, performing in-depth troubleshooting, and ticket handling. Monitoring and triaging proactive and reactive issues within the network environment.
Managed Services Network/Systems Engineer Level 3/Network Architect Designs, develops, supports, and maintains the clients organization’s systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software. Analyzes, develops, modifies, tests and maintains networking systems.
Managed Services Service Desk Leader/Manager Responsible for managing daily operations of the service desk, managing the service desk team, representing the team to other stakeholders, and helping to ensure that the service desk is constantly developing and improving.
